Spanish Formula One star Fernando Alonso says the just concluded 2016 season ranks 3rd on his list of best seasons since making his debut in 2001.
In a surprising analysis that sees the Mclaren-Honda driver leave out 2005 and 2006 title winning seasons, the Spaniard ranked the year 2012 as his best with 2014 season being second on his list.
Despite the improvements noticed in the McLaren-Honda team of 2016, pundits opine about the sojourn needed to better performances badly needed by Alonso’s team should they wish to aim for a position better that the sixth they clinched in this year’s championship.
2012 is fondly remember as the year he nearly beat another F1 sensation Sebastian Vettel to the title and the Spaniard had no gloss over how he felt about that particular season.
“2012 is probably my best season in formula one,” opined Alonso as he compared his various campaigns. “Then it could be 2014 my second best. Then probably this one will be on the final step of the podium so far.” …

Jarno Trulli has revealed that QPR owner had promised him a certain level of wages and car model at the time when he had been recruited for the team. He claims that Tony Fernandes, who is QPR chairman, failed to honor a deal which promised a payment of 1.3 million in bonds as well as a Formula One car. Jarno Trulli has issued a lawsuit against Tony subsequently.
The lawsuit is in the form of a writ from High Court. Being a former ace, he has stated that the boss of the football club has agreed to pay wages that are still outstanding, to the amount of £700,000. The Team Lotus car that was promised to him in 2011 was not delivered to him as well. …

Green spearheaded the ART Grand Prix Mercedes which is owned by Gary Paffett and he led by 0.079 seconds. The best part of the race was that time tumbled down when the second runs begun. Mercedes ended with a strong position on the weekend. This was due to Christian Vietoris who topped the free practice sessions in the morning. He took a close position to Paffett and the time he finished, ending up in third position. …
