For those who are looking for updates on the DTM race in Zandvoort, they will see some of their champions in action.
For instance, Jamie Green would be heading the front row for the all British categories. This would be the second race in DTM held at Zandvoort. Audi bounces back and gains a prominent position after the team qualifies. BMW team is led by Timo Glock.
Green is part of Team Rosberg RS5. It is best placed among the Ingolstadt car manufacturer’s teams. It placed fifth in the race that was held on Saturday. Green spearheaded the ART Grand Prix Mercedes which is owned by Gary Paffett and he led by 0.079 seconds. The best part of the race was that time tumbled down when the second runs begun. Mercedes ended with a strong position on the weekend. This was due to Christian Vietoris who topped the free practice sessions in the morning. He took a close position to Paffett and the time he finished, ending up in third position.
As a result of the races Vietoris takes up second row along with Edoardo Mortara of Audi. The race winner on Saturday was Robert Wickens. He made it on the top three slots for Mercedes drivers among the top five positions. He had initially been at the bottom of the first runs due to a mistake that occurred at the chicane. Timo Glock on the other hand ended up being the lead BMW runner who came in sixth. He came ahead of Marco Wittmann, who was stalemate for Timo and he led the championship. Esteban Ocon was the test driver for Mercedes F1 as well as a reserve for the Renault team. The weekend continued to be successful for him too, as he took up an eighth position in the Mercedes that he drove. Nico Muller and Mattis Ekstrom pulled up in their Audis in the top 10 positions.
